Day 37: Frankfurt

Slept in this morning for the first time in a while so missed seeing off Mig and Jack, who left at 07:15 to catch a plane back to the states.  Lazed about for an hour or so before going down stairs to see who was still about.

Headed into breakfast to discover what a sad state of affairs this tour had ended with.  Breakfast was abysmal.  It was supposed to be a continental breakfast, but was missing the fruit salad, yoghurt etc.  May not sound like much, but on top of being dumped so far out of where we were supposed to be, it was beginning to feel like Cosmos no longer gave a damn.

Caught up with Paul and Sue and a few others and sat in the bar chatting until, by 13:00, after our farewells were said, all had left for the airport.  Elisha and I caught a cab to the train station for a train into Frankfurt.

Lucky for us, our hotel was a couple of blocks away from the Hauptbahnhof, and because they were fully booked when we arrived, we once again got upgraded to a suite.  The girl at the counter was absolutely lovely and we spent a good hour talking to her before heading to our room.

Got to our room to discover it was bloody huge.  The room was basically 3 rooms, with an entrance, dining and bedroom area with the television set up in front of the bed.

Had a break from doing anything (for a change) for the rest of the day and went for an Italian dinner just up the road.
